Former Ndwedwe payroll admin jailed for theft
Ndwedwe's
former payroll administrator will be calling prison his home for the next six
years.
Nkosingizwile Gama was convicted of stealing almost half-a-million rand from the municipality.
KZN Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says he created ghost employees between 2015 and 2016 and pocketed the money.
A supervisor noticed the suspicious payment activity and notified the police.

"He put money into those accounts where there were no employees, knowing that he is defrauding the municipality,” says Mhlongo.
“He was arrested by Hawks members from Serious Commercial Crimes Unit and he attended the case until he was sentenced."
