Former Glenwood High headmaster convicted of fraud, KZN Education reacts

KZN Education says it's been vindicated following the conviction of a former headmaster of Glenwood High School for fraud.
Last week, Trevor Kershaw pleaded guilty to defrauding the school of over R5 million. A forensic investigation revealed that this took place between 2007 and 2016.
Kershaw won't be spending any time in jail. He will serve three years under correctional supervision, with a 10-year suspended prison sentence.
Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says Kershaw had initially denied he had done anything wrong.
"What angers us is the time-lapse that it has taken to come to his senses to plead guilty."
"It might take us time to discover that you are engaging in such malpractices, but once we discover that we will deal with you harshly as we have done with the former principal of Glenwood High," he said.
The school is suing Kershaw.
