Firefighting continues at Sea Cow Lake warehouse

eThekwini firefighters are still trying to put out a massive fire that's engulfed a warehouse in Sea Cow Lake, north of Durban.

The semi-factory used for storage of retail goods caught alight on Monday afternoon.
Black smoke has been seen billowing from the area.
Divisional Commander for the north, Bruce De Gier's says his team have been battling the blaze from last night.
He says although it's been contained, the blaze may continue for two-days.
"We down-scaled midnight and we are down to from three to six this morning. It is probably doing to be another couple of days . How how? I am not sure. The building was overloaded."
Ntutuko Mathe and his team from eThekwini fire were the first to respond to the fire.
He says there's been massive damage.
"When we arrived the fire was on the ground floor an it spread. But we managed to contain the fire although the fire has gone to some parts of the building. No injuries were reported."
