Female family member arrested in connection to double murder

A 37-year-old woman has been arrested today in connection with the fatal shooting of her grandmother and uncle in the Gobandlovu area in Ozwathini, north of Du rban.
It's alleged that on Friday afternoon, two suspects entered their house and shot 66-year-old Ntombi Zanele Luthuli and her son, 46-year-old Themba Luthuli.
This morning, Nsuze detectives and the KwaDukuza Crime Intelligence Unit arrested the woman after following up leads in the matter.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says more arrests are expected.
"The team proceeded to the Ashdown area in Pietermaritzburg where the suspect was staying, and was arrested for double murder. A 37-year-old suspect will appear in the Nsuze Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, on charges of double murder. More arrests are expected as investigations are continuing," she said.
