Fedhasa believes SA should introduce vaccine passports
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
With a global move towards coronavirus passports, it will be difficult for South Africa to choose to ignore them.

That's what the Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (Fedhasa) believes.
Health Minister Joe Phaahla says the idea's still being considered.
But he says they're preparing to give all South Africans, who take the Covid-19 jab, digital vaccination certificates.
Fedhasa's Rosemary Anderson believes the country should embrace vaccination passports.
"It's going to be something that's going to have to be handled very carefully and sensitively, especially in South African where we have got a very strong constitution with our human right clearly defined.
"What would be good is if the World Health Organisation or the United Nations or some big impartial world body put a universal passport out so it's fair and everyone would be able to receive it under the same criteria."
Anderson is also hoping for a move to alert level 2.
"This can't come quick enough because literally, this is financially unviable for many people to operate within the restriction we are currently operating in.
"Currently, the legislation in place you only allowed 50 people inside a restaurant is really making it financially unviable for many restaurants to operate, especially your large restaurants."
