Fatal N2 collision leads to LPG spill near Amatikulu

There has been a fatal crash between a car and
a truck on the N2 in Amatikulu, north of Durban.

It is understood the vehicles collided near the Amatikulu River on Saturday.
At least three people, including a teenager, have died and several others injured.
Kelsey-Jae Meyrick from IPSS Medical Rescue said the truck was carrying LP gas, which has spilled on the road.

"The road is currently closed, and the scene is extremely unsafe. Motorists are asked to avoid the area, until the spill has been cleaned up."
Road will be closed for the next 6 hours for full clean up.
Traffic heading northbound is being diverted off N2 at Mandeni offramp.
