Ex-cop Rosemary Ndlovu convicted on six counts of murder

Former Gauteng police officer Rosemary Ndlovu has been convicted on six counts of murder, including that of her sister, nephew, and boyfriend.

"I am satisfied that the State has proven its case beyond reasonable doubt and the version of the accused is rejected as not reasonably possibly true. And my the accused please rise," Judge Ramarumo Monama said.

Judgment was handed down in Johannesburg's Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Friday afternoon by Monama, who heard chilling evidence of Ndlovu's crimes over several couple of weeks.

She defrauded insurance companies of money belonging to her victims.

It's understood Ndlovu received R1.4 million from their insurance policies.

"The accused is also found guilty on counts 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 - meaning that she is found guilty on count of defeating the administration of justice, fraud on Clientele Limited, fraud on One life insurance, fraud on Old Mutual, and fraud on Assupol."

Ndlovu's has also been convicted of the attempted murder of her mother as well as incitement.

She had pleaded not guilty to all charges.
