Eskom suspends load shedding
Load shedding will be lifted at midday on Saturday, with Eskom saying there has been a sufficient recovery of its generation capacity.
It comes after a week during which stage 2 load shedding were rolled out across the country, which was subsequently downgraded to stage 1 on Friday evening.
However, Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha warns the dreaded system could once again be implemented at short notice - should it be necessary.
