Eskom releases long-awaited report
Eskom chairperson e won the Currie Cup with the Blue Bulls twice, in 1998 and 2002, has released the Dentons report to the public this morning.
The report, compiled by international law firm Denton, looked into the state of business at Eskom.
The Denton report was commissioned in 2015.
Eskom recently indicated the report found nothing new during the inquiry - which looked at, amongst other things, load shedding.
Eskom says the majority of the recommendations of the Denton review had been fully implemented by November 2016, but it was the Board's considered view that releasing the report, at the time, would have an adverse impact on the employee morale.

Ngubane says they have, however, decided to release the report due to false media reports.
"We decided as the board to call this press conference to set the record straight by providing you with objective facts only," says Ngubane.
Ngubane says despite what media are reporting, they as the board did not interfere with this investigation.
"Both the board and I have never, at any point during the course of the fact finding exercise, interfered with the investigation. We had an unvarnished interest to obtain the facts about the state of the business so as to inform the turnaround of the entity. Any act of interference would have been idiotic, to put it mildly," says Ngubane.
Ngubane says based on the recommendations, targets were set and they went about reaching them.
"By November 2016, 13 out of 18 recommendation had already been fully implemented and closed. The balance of these are in advanced stages of implementation," says Ngubane.
