Updated | By Bulletin
Eskom says it does not anticipate the implementation of
load-shedding during this year's winter season.

In a statement, the power utility says the system will remain stable until the end of August if unplanned outages stay below 13,000 megawatts.
Eskom spokesperson, Daphne Mokwena, says if outages increase to 15-thousand-megawatts, load-shedding would be limited to a maximum of 21 days at Stage 2:

Mokwena says the power system remains stable, supported by adequate emergency reserves that will strategically deploy to manage periods of high winter peak demand.
"From 2 to 8 May 2025, unplanned outages have reached at 12 273 megawatts, showing an increase of 112 megawatts."
