Eskom moves load shedding to Stage 4
Updated | By Newswatch
Eskom is moving load shedding to Stage 4 from 2pm.
It says one of the units at the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in the Western Cape has tripped.
The power utility spokesperson, Sikhonathi Mantshantsha, says they have lost 930 MW at Koeberg, which has put further strain on the system.

"There is no nuclear risk, it is limited to the turbine on the generation site so we are implementing load shedding at stage 4. This has put additional strain on the already strained generation fleet," says Mantshantsha.
Mantshantsha says a teams are trying to establish what led to the fault.
