eShowe man in court for daughters' rape

An eShowe father is expected in the dock today for allegedly raping his two daughters - ages 8 and 13.

The 39-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after social workers got word of the rapes.
A social worker arrived at the family's home on Friday and took the eight-year-old girl for a medical examination at a hospital.
The results confirmed the child had been raped. Police could not confirm if her sister also underwent an examination.

Their father was arrested on Saturday and charged with two counts of rape.
It's alleged the man has been sexually assaulting his daughters since July last year.
He's appearing in the eShowe Magistrate's Court this afternoon.
