Escaped Kruger Park lions shot and killed
Updated | By Suné du Toit
The three lions which escaped from the Kruger National Park earlier this week have been shot and killed.
SANParks says three lions escaped and not four as previously reported.
SANParks spokesperson William Mabasa says one lion was shot and killed by a farmer in Mara Valley.
"Last night the lions killed cattle on a farm and the farmer killed one of the three lions," Mabasa says.

Mabasa says they sent out a search team this afternoon.
"They found the remaining two lions in that area closer to the carcass. Because of the area it was difficult for them to dart and capture them, so they euthanised the two lions."
