Enrol your child in school for 2017, says KZN Education
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
Parents and guardians are being encouraged to register their children early with schools for the next academic year.
The KZN Education Department is launching a registration campaign at Linpark High School in Pietermaritzburg this morning.
With only a few months to go before the end of the year, most schools have started their registration process for 2017.
The department's Sicelo Khuzwayo says parents should consider early enrolment long before the year ends.
The department says this is to ensure learning processes begin from the first day of school.
"In the past few years, we found that in the first week would be set aside for registration so that week is also very crucial. The most important thing is to ensure that when the next year begins, we only focus on the classroom activities," Khuzwayo said.
MEC for Education Mthandeni Dlungwane will be in attendance.
