Education should be free, compulsory: Malema
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
EFF leader, Julius Malema says the people of KZN are swimming in a pool of poverty.
He addressed residents of Amawotana near Verulam yesterday.
Malema says education is the key to permanent economic freedom for poor people.
"When they say - what will Malema do when he becomes president? You must tell them Malema will make education free and compulsory. Compulsory means anyone who qualifies to go to school will go to school. If you don't want to go to school, we will force you to go. You will kick and scream but you will thank us after you have graduated," he said.
