Education Dept. to train invigilators ahead of final matric exams
Updated | By Anelisa Khubeka
Education MEC, Mthandeni Dlungwana revealed the stats to pupils and senior department managers at the launch of the 100-day countdown to the year end exams in Durban yesterday.
He said officials have monitored the province's winter classes adding that this year's programme was a success.
Dlungwana says Saturday classes are planned to run across KZN to maintain momentum until exams start.
"To ensure credible examination the province will use a two-level casket model for training of invigilators and monitors.
"As you know we have had bad experiences in previous years of group copying. The province will train district teams on effective invigilation and monitoring strategies," he said.
