EC woman accused of killing four children with sledgehammer

A woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her four children with a sledgehammer.
The bodies of the children, who were aged between two and eleven years, were found in their home at Mhlabubomvu in Engcobo on Wednesday morning.
Police spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana says the 32-year-old mother will appear in Engcobo Magistrate’s Court once charged.

"Preliminary investigation reveals that they had been assaulted by their own mother with a sledgehammer. Consequently, they suffered serious injuries to the upper bodies.”
Kinana says the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
