Early sightings of sardine activity reported
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The KZN Sharks Board says it will begin taking flights down the coast to monitor any early season sardine activity.

Some sightings have already been made off the Eastern Cape. The annual sardine run normally takes place in the coming months. The board’s Greg Thompson says last year’s run was a successful one.
He is hopeful this will be the case again in 2019.
"Obviously we are all hoping for a decent sardine run this year, especially after the run we had last year", he said.
"On a normal year these fish would normally arrive between the end of May and the first 2 weeks of June", Thompson said.
