Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
A Durban prosecutor arrested for alleged corruption will be back in court next year.
Nontsikelelo Qhunyiso is said to have taken money from a complainant in exchange for weakening a shoplifting case against an alleged juvenile offender.
The 39-year-old was arrested in a sting operation earlier this week.
She appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Hawks spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says Qhunyiso was granted R3 000 bail and that her case was postponed to 20 January.
