A Durban man is due to appear in court on Tuesday, accused of stabbing a woman to death over her family's support for Palestine.

KZN police say the woman was attacked in her home in Umbilo, south of Durban, on Sunday.
SAPS spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says Halima Hoosen-Preston was declared dead at the scene, while her husband and son were rushed to hospital.
"The motive for the violence is unknown, although a ten-year-old survivor has told the police that the suspect stated that he was stabbing them because they supported Palestine.

"The man also allegedly threatened to rape the little girl. Police investigations continue. Police in Umbilo arrested a man in connection with the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of another two people."
The South African Muslim Network and the SA Jewish Board of Deputies have both condemned the attack, with the board expressing its outrage over the violence and calling for calm.
The network says the survivors, who suffered multiple stab wounds, are recovering in the hospital.
