Durban man accused of knocking down women granted bail
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The case against a Durban man who ran over and killed three women in a hit-and-run incident will be back in court in February next year.
The 23-year-old handed himself over to police a few hours after the crash a week ago.
One of the victim's bodies landed inside his vehicle due to the impact of the crash.
It's alleged he dumped the body at a local beach out of fear.
KZN National Prosecution Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara says he was granted bail in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court this week.
“Bail was fixed at R10 000 with reporting conditions. The matter returns to court in February for further investigations.”
