The Helen Suzman Foundation has described the death of one of their researchers, Arvitha Doodnath, as a tragic loss for law and the health industry.

The former Durban woman was killed in an attempted hijacking in Johannesburg, on Saturday.
The 30-year old had been working as a legal researcher at the foundation, and also lectured law at Vaal University of Technology.
According to Times Select, Doodnath led a campaign against gender violence at the university, after the killing of UCT student Uyinene Mrwetyana.
The Foundation's Director, Francis Antonie says Doodnath will be remembered for her unyielding passion for justice.
