A taxi driver and a conductor have been shot dead - allegedly by two people travelling with them under the guise of being passengers.

The incident took place in the Bonela area near Cato Manor in Durban last night.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the taxi was en route to the city centre at the time.He says Cato Manor police are investigating two counts of murder.
"Two of the passengers started to shoot towards the driver and the conductor. Both victims died instantly. The suspects fled the scene on foot and the motive for the killing is not known at this stage and the matter is still under investigation," he said.
