A Durban couple has spent part of their weekend behind bars after a pregnant woman was assaulted at a shopping centre.
A 34-year-old man was caught on video punching a three-month pregnant woman at Pavilion Mall on Thursday.
According to reports, the victim had been arguing with a 40-year-old woman before the incident.
Police tracked and arrested the couple in KwaMashu on Sunday morning.

They are due to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
KZN Social Development spokesperson Mhlabunzima Memela says such acts have no place in society.
"The whole thing has created public outrage that a man will actually attack a defenseless woman like he did. It was so brutal. We always encourage our communities not to engage in any form of violence. Whatever the reason that could have led to that, they should have resolved it correctly without being physical to each other."
