Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Durban Metro Police are monitoring a Friday morning protest on Electron Road in the Springfield area.
Spokesperson Zama Dlamini says it's peaceful and there have been no reports of violence.
She says officers on the ground were told that DSW workers downed tools over an issue concerning a fellow colleague.

The employee, who was fired, won a case to get his job back.
"So other fellow employees don't want him to come back. There is no violence, they are just protesting on the side, Both shop stewards for Imatu and Samu are negotiating."
Dlamini says the picket isn't affecting traffic.
