Driver’s licence printing machine working again

The only machine responsible for printing driver's licences in the country has been fixed.

It's been four months since the printer has been out of action.
Transport officials confirmed on Friday that it's up and running again, and work has already begun to clear the backlog of almost three-quarters of a million applications.

"This means that working hours for staff members at the driving licence card agency, which is an entity of the department, will be extended to ensure the reduction of the backlog," says the department's Collen Msibi.
