Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Hindu festival of lights, Diwali will be celebrated tomorrow.
The festival represents the triumph of good over evil and will see many Hindu devotees lighting up the sky with fireworks and sharing sweetmeats.
President of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha Ashwin Trikamjee says it is a festive time of the year.

"It's that time of the year when you reflect on your life. More importantly, you spend time with your family and your community and your friends," he said.
Trikamjee is reminding those taking part in the festival that big bang fireworks have been banned in some cities this year.
