Dirco ready for South Africans abroad to cast vote

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation says from its side, it's completed preparations for the voting process abroad.
May 29, is election day in South Africa.
Thousands of voters have registered to cast their ballots abroad.
The department says the Independent Electoral Commission will send the relevant voting materials to all 115 diplomatic missions.
Spokesperson Clayson Monyela says they'll be placed in diplomatic airfreight bags.

"The short-term contract for this purpose is in place. The diplomatic bag is protected by diplomatic immunity.
"DIRCO makes use of diplomatic bags to dispatch official documents and articles to and from South Africa in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963."
