Crowds have converged outside the Durban Magistrate's Court this morning - where a Durban man's due to be sentenced for posting racist comments on social media.
Bluff resident, Dawie Kriel made headlines when he posted derogatory comments on Facebook during Diwali last year.
By the time Kriel deleted the post from his Facebook page it was already too late.
Thousands of people across the country were infuriated by the post with many people labelling Kriel, a racist.

The DA, ANC and Hindu Maha Sabah all took the matter to court.
Kriel has since been convicted of crimen injuria after pleading guilty during a previous court appearance.
The State had argued in court that Kriel needs to be handed a hefty fine - without suspension.
Today, there's a sea of blue and yellow T-shirts outside the courthouse with people waiting to hear what sentence Kriel will be given.
Some call for a jail term of at least one year, while others want him to pay a hefty fine.
