DA Phoenix election posters ‘provocative’ – analyst
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The Director of the Centre of Non-violence at the Durban University of Technology Crispin Hemson says the DA's local government election posters in Phoenix are provocative.
Hemson says the use of words on the posters are deliberate, as the posters have only gone up in Phoenix and not in the surrounding African communities.
The DA has received major backlash after it put up the election posters written" The ANC called you racists, The DA calls you heroes' on Tuesday.
Party leader John Steenhuisen has come out strongly defending the posters saying all South Africans who protected their communities during the July unrest are heroes.
Hemson though says the party must take down the posters.
