DA to elect new KZN leaders this weekend

New leadership is
expected to be elected for the Democratic Alliance in KZN when its provincial
congress kicks off in Durban on Saturday.
The party's national leader John Steenhuisen will also attend the event which will take place at Durban's International Convention Centre.
Members are also expected to vote on resolutions and chart a way forward to lead a coalition government in the province after the 2024 general elections.
Candidates for the position of provincial leader are Bongumusa Nhlabathi and incumbent Francois Rodgers.
Candidates for the deputy provincial leader are Mzamo Billy and Sithembiso Ngema.

Dianne Kohler-Barnard will contest against Dean Macpherson for the position of provincial chairperson.
500 delegates will gather in Durban and put forward resolutions that will grow the DA and work to ensure that the future of KZN can be saved.
Over 500 delegates will participate in a democratic internal election to choose our leadership and make resolutions to help charter a way forward for the 2024 elections and beyond.
