Judgment in the bail application of the six men accused of the murder of Tongaat teen, Andile 'Bobo' Mbuthu will not go ahead in the Verulam Magistrates Court today.
The accused - tavern owner Mlungisi Thabethe and five others were due to hear their fate today but officials say that the court is not safe to enter due to some officials testing positive for COVID-19.
They are accused of allegedly kidnapping Mbuthu in May and killing him.
A number of people gathered outside court this morning demanding that the suspects not be granted bail.
They say they are disappointed that the matter is not going ahead today.

"The people who did this to our friend must not get bail at all because what happened to our friend is very bad and the reason why we are here is to support the family because of the pain they are going through. I think I owe it to him to come here and support his family."

"Bobo was part of our community and he was also a teenager," said one friend.
"He was everybody's friend and due to what has happened inside we are simply not happy because we thought the first step to getting justice for him will be done today, the fact that it is not being done is very sad and unfortunate."
