COVID-19 claims hundreds of more lives in SA

COVID-19 has
claimed the lives of a further 396 people in South Africa.
Statistics released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize show that the national death toll now stands at 46 869.
Limpopo recorded 118 deaths, KwaZulu-Natal 85 and Gauteng 81.
The Western Cape has recorded 65 deaths, the Eastern Cape recorded 20 deaths, Mpumalanga 18 deaths, the Free State recorded 6 and the Northern Cape recorded three deaths.

Furthermore, only 1 742 new cases were recorded in the latest 24 hours leading up by Tuesday evening, bringing the cumulative number of cases in the country to 1 479 253.
The country’s recovery rate stands at 92%
