Court hands KwaDukuza man life sentence for rape

A KwaDukuza man has been handed a life sentence for rape.
From 2011 to 2016, the 32-year-old man raped nine women in the Groutville, Thembeni, Charlottedale and Chibini areas.
His victims ranged in age from 16 to 55, whom he attacked while they were on their way to work, church or school.
He also robbed his victims of their phones and money.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in KZN, Natasha Kara says was charged with rape and robbery.
"The accused pleaded guilty in the Durban High Court this week to charges of rape and robbery with aggravated circumstances. He was sentenced to life imprisonment as well as The NPA in KZN has welcomed this sentence and we hope it will We hope it will serve as a necessary deterrent," Kara said.
