Updated | By Algoa FM
The Walter Sisulu University student accused of stealing some of the R14 million NSFAS funds, which were mistakenly deposited into her account, has been found guilty on all ten charges against her.

Sibongile Mani was charged with theft after apparently spending more than R800 000 of the money before the administrative error was picked up by authorities.
Handing down judgement this afternoon, the East London Regional Court's magistrate said Mani knew that what she was doing was wrong, but went ahead and spent the money in a well-planned manner all over the country.

The bulk of the money was blown on alcohol, appliances, furniture, beauty products and data.
Mani will be sentenced in a month's time.
