COPE welcomes SABC COO ruling
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
The Public Protector's office says yesterday's ruling by the Supreme Court of Appeal in the matter between the SABC and the DA is important to the office's integrity.
SABC Chief Hlaudi Motsoeneng lost his bid against a ruling that he be suspended following the Public Protector's findings on the SABC last year.
COPE's Dennis Bloem, who welcomes the ruling, says it has great implications for Nkandla.
Madonsela last year recommended Zuma pay back a portion of the money spent on upgrades to his Nkandla home.
"It is now very clear that recommendation of the Public Protector on the president must also be implemented without any delays. If the president is not going to implement it, then it is also the president disrespecting the findings of the Public Protector," he said.
