Contribution of Indian companies to SA economy is valuable: Zuma

President Jacob Zuma has hailed Indian companies operating in South Africa, saying they contribute significantly to economic growth and job creation in Pretoria.
Zuma was speaking at a joint press conference in Pretoria with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on his first state visit to the country.
Zuma says over 100 Indian companies are operating locally.
"We have agreed to expand and improve people to people through promoting tourism between two countries," he said.
Prime Minister Modi says trade with South Africa has grown by over 300% in the past 10 years..
"President Zuma and I reviewed the full spectrum of our engagement. We have agreed that in the last two decades our relationship has been a custody of strong advances and concrete agreements," he said.
Modi will be in KZN tomorrow.
His first stop will be in Pietermaritzburg where he is expected to lay a wreath and open the Gandhi Museum before making his way to Durban to visit areas including Phoenix.
