The call comes after a body was allegedly stolen from a morgue in Pinetown.

It's alleged that someone pretending to be a relative of Siyabonga Mbanjwa claimed the 38-year-old's body over a week ago.

Police say what is believed to be Mbanjwa's remains were later found buried in a cemetery in Adams.

KZN SAPS says DNA samples are being analysed to confirm the identity of the body.

They say Mbanjwa's family has opened a case of theft of a corpse.

Nehawu says such incidents are concerning.
