Civil groups call for code of conduct for JSC
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo

The organisations have expressed concerns following the recent interviews of candidates for the position of Chief Justice.
Freedom Under Law's Justice Johann Kriegler says the JSC failed to perform its constitutional function.

"It asked irrelevant and insulting questions. Some of its members have been allowed to behave improperly and to set traps for candidates."
"The relevant questions have not been asked. Stupid questions have indeed been asked and have got nothing to do with the fitness or propriety of the particular candidate for appointment."
