Child (6) drowns at La Mercy Lagoon
The body of a child has been recovered from the waters of La Mercy Lagoon, north of Durban.
Emergency personnel say the boy, appears to have been around six years old.
A body of a 6-year-old boy has been found floating at the La Mercy Lagoon in La Mercy North of Durban.
Yesterday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to drowning where a body was spotted flouting in the Lagoon.
Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst says reports indicate that the boy was found floating unresponsive.
"A full advance life support was initiated by a Netcare 911 care practioner but despite all efforts, the child was declared on scene."
