Chef shot dead in Durban
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a chef who was shot dead in Durban this afternoon.
Officials say the 56-year-old man was shot on Percy Osborne Road in Morningside this afternoon - after leaving work at an old age home.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the motive behind the shooting is not known...
"When they arrived there they found a 56-year-old man lying on the pavement. Apparently he was a chef from an old age home not far from where they found him. After examining him they found he had tragically died due to the very severe gunshot wounds he had sustained."
