Changes to KZN SASSA grant payment dates

There are further changes to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant payments dates for this month to allow a free flow at pay points.

"Older person's grants will be paid from Thursday, 3 September 2020. Disability grants will be paid from Friday, 4 September 2020. 

"This includes any grants linked to these accounts. All other grants will be paid from Monday, 7 September 2020," says SASSA KZN's Sandy Godlwana.

Godlwana has also given details of pay dates for various areas.

"Payments at the 343 SASSA KwaZulu-Natal pay points are scheduled as follows: For Durban and Ilembe it's from 8 to 11 September. 

"For Pietermaritzburg, 8 to 16 September, the Midlands is from 8 to 15 September. Umkhanyakude and Zululand is from 8 to 17 September."

She's pleading with recipients not to rush to withdraw cash on the first day of payment.

She's also urged that people be vigilant of criminals targeting beneficiaries.
