Three suspects arrested for stolen electrical cables and streetlight poles worth nearly 100-thousand-rand are expected to appear in a Durban Court soon.

The suspects - aged between 30 and 64 - are believed to be part of a syndicate targeting the City’s infrastructure.

Municipal officials have vowed to intensify operations to protect critical assets warning that the theft of infrastructure hampers service delivery.

The City says more arrests are expected as investigations continue.
