Brookside Mall unrest 'instigator' back in court

The man found guilty of instigating the torching of the Brookside Mall in Pietermaritzburg during the July unrest is back in court on Monday.
Mdumiseni Zuma, 35, was found guilty of incitement to commit public violence and incitement to commit arson in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court last month.
Zuma was arrested in an operation involving members of the Hawks and Crime Intelligence after the unrest that broke out in 2021.

It's after he was seen in video footage, encouraging people to loot in the mall.
The mall was looted before it burned to the ground.
The case was postponed to today, for pre sentencing reports-prior to sentencing.
