Brian Molefe faces parliament inquiry
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Brian Molefe is today appearing before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts in Parliament together the leadership of Eskom.
Members of the committee want answers from the power utility about the structure and management of coal contracts with Gupta-owned company, Tegeta.
There is concern over the findings contained in a Price Waterhouse Coopers report.
The auditing firm found discrepancies with Eskom’s coal supply contract with the company.
The utility's CEO maintains they are in the process of implementing the recommendations and have nothing to hide.
"The PWC report had been commissioned by us, for us to correct ourselves - to correct the mistakes that had been done in contracting," he said.

"She reported for work about two weeks ago, at the remote site in the Springs area. After that, she could not be found," he said.
Police say more details on the circumstances surrounding her death will be released.
