BREAKING: Eskom's Brian Molefe to step down as CEO

Eskom, CEO Brian Molefe has announced his resignation from the parastal.

This comes after Molefe was implicated in the Public Protector's State of Capture Report.
In his resignation letter, Molefe makes reference to the report saying it has tainted his reputation and that of the institution. He says it is in the interest of Eskom and the public for him to step down.

Eskom spokesperson, Khulu Phasiwa says the
resignation was tendered to the Board and his management team this morning.
"It's the right thing to do when have a cloud around you. He says he needs to focus solely on this matter," he said.
His resignation is effective on January 1, 2017.
