Boy (4) dies after plummeting from Durban flat

A four-year-old boy who fell from a block of flats along Durban's North Beach has died.

It's believed he plummeted from a fourth-floor window, which wasn't secured with burglar guards.
The child was airlifted to hospital by medics late yesterday afternoon.
Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst said: "The child had sustained polytrauma injuries to the child's head and chest area and a lot of fractures as well.
"The child has passed away. From the information we have received, the child passed away shortly after arrival at the hospital."
