Border authority to deploy more personnel over festive season
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The Border Management Authority has deployed
380 more personnel to the country's ports of entry over the festive
season.
This after authorities at the weekend intercepted busses carrying more than 440 children, all under the age of 8, into the country from Zimbabwe.
Officials say they were travelling alone on the 42 buses without their parents or a legal guardian on Saturday night.
They were handed back to Zim authorities.

The Border Management Authority's commissioner Michael Masiapato says they're stepping up efforts to crack down on cross-border organised crime and the illegal movement of people and goods.
"The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, has already approved our request to extend the operating hours on other identified critical ports on certain dates that we agreed with our immediate labouring country.
"That's on the 23rd and 24th December as well as on the 2nd and 3rd of January."
