Body of missing KZN teen found in Maphumulo
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The search
for a KZN teen, who went missing while fishing in the Tugela River, has ended
in tragedy.

The 19-year-old disappeared last Thursday prompting a week-long search operation.
IPSS Medical Rescue says his body was found yesterday in the Maphumulo area, some distance from where he was last seen.
Spokesperson Samantha Meyrick says a local resident alerted authorities.
"Teams from IPSS Search & Rescue, SAPS Search and Rescue, Maphumulo SAPS, the local community and Badul Air, searched the river extensively on Friday and Saturday, making use of drones, helicopters and inflatable crocs. Sadly, there was no sign of the young man."
Meyrick says a member of the local community found his body yesterday, some way down from where he was last seen.
"The teams returned to the area and were able to recover his remains. Due to the difficult terrain and distance from the road, the Badul Air Helicopter was used to move his body to the waiting vehicles."
