A Mandeni family says they are struggling to cope with the death of their teenage daughter.

Xolile Mpanza's decomposed body was found in a nearby sugarcane field at the start of the weekend.
The 18-year-old had been missing for a week.
Family spokesperson Jabulani Mpanza says they are all devastated.
"We have heard of such incidents before, but we never truly understood how painful they are until now. As a family, we have suffered a devastating loss, and the situation is extremely difficult.
“We have lost someone in whom we placed great hopes someone who deeply valued education and had a promising future. Our hearts are broken."

Premier Thami Ntuli visited the Mpanza family in Dokodweni in Zululand on Sunday.
He condemned the ongoing gender-based violence.
"Incidents of this nature in KwaZulu-Natal are a pandemic and what is important is that we need report and work with the police to give them information. No matter how little information they have."
Police have opened a case of murder.
